Nothing to Fear But Germs Themselves
Nearly 30 percent of Americans avoid public restrooms out of fear of germs, according to a recent poll conducted by Georgia-Pacific Corp., Atlanta.
Many of the common illnesses transmitted in public restrooms include colds and flu, skin infections, intestinal illnesses and also potentially fatal illnesses, such as those caused by salmonella bacteria, E. coli and hepatitis.
Scabies - also known as crabs, or pubic lice, can be picked up from toilet seats and unless you have sharp eyesight, you wont see
these tiny critters before you seat yourself down.
Other diseases known to be transmittable through contaminated toilet seat contact include:
SARS - Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome - See foot of page!!
Enteroviruses - responsible for gastroenteritis
Herpes - Caused by virus called HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus)
Parasites - Trichomonas vaginalis - Scabies - Phthiriasis pubis - Pubic lice.
Veneric Diseases - Gonorrhea, infection by bacteria gonococcus. (Low incidence but possible)
So you are not a alone in your toilet phobia!!
You are just one of millions of others who fear the same thing!
Rightfully so!
While some experts say the chance of catching germs from a toilet seat are scant and that your desktop, telephone, the door handle, or kitchen sink pose a far greater risk.
Well this is true to some extent, only in the case of toilets that are washed and sanitized regularly.
What the experts fail to say, is that this is not the case in public toilets that are not kept in a sanitary condition.
The pungent odour in a public toilet is bacteria, I doubt your desktop or kitchen sink has this odour!
Whilst you cannot control sanitary conditions of public toilet, you can take some necessary precautions using the SaniCone to protect yourself from
being infected unnecessarily.

HONG KONG - China (CNN)
Health officials studying how Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus is spread say they believe the disease is not transmitted in water or in the air,
but could be spread by contact with a "contaminated toilet seat".
Not convinced! See for your self HERE
